Hearings On Master Facilities Plan

The Board of Education invites the public to testify at two public hearings on the Master Facilities Plan. To testify, contact Heather Reynolds at (202) 442-4289. Witnesses should bring 11 copies of their written testimony to the public hearing. Public testimony will be limited to three (3) minutes for oral presentations. Master Facilities Plan
On September 14, 2006, D.C. Schools Superintendent Clifford B. Janey released the Master Facilities Plan for all DC public schools. DCPS and the Board of Education just completed a series of community forums on the contents of the plan. Click here to get information on the plan.

SMC submitted written testimony to the Board of Education on October 18 with recommendations for the planning process. We are also compiling detailed comments on the plan. To offer your ideas and insights, please visit our comment blog here.

Council News
Councilwoman Kathy Patterson held a public oversight hearing on October 31 on DCPS's capacity to carry out school modernizations.
